My name is Jo, and all the jewellery that you see here is designed and carefully created by me. I enjoy using traditional silversmithing techniqes, but try to use them with a contemporary 'twist'. My designs use sterling and fine silver, gemstones and artisan lampwork (glass) beads. Many pieces are one-off exclusive items, and I have a growing collection of made-to-order designs several of which can be made with your choice of gemstone, prehaps to create a special anniversary present.
I am completely addicted to designing and making jewellery, and enjoy passing that addiction on to other people! I am a qualified teacher and run regular jewellery workshops for all abilities, from jewellery basics for beginners to all day sterling silver workshops. In addition to this, I am a Jewellery tutor at Eastleigh College, Hampshire. I also enjoy using my design skills to create projects for craft magazines and I am a regular contributor to Beads & Beyond magazine. To date I have also been published in Practical Crafts & Cardmaking, Quick & Crafty, Bead.
I am mum to a very lively, bouncy sandy haired five year old and a rapidly growing baby boy, so you will see something of them on here too! You will also some of my knitting and crochet projects along with general family life!
I enjoy commissions, so if there is a piece of jewellery that you would like me to make, either for yourself or as for a gift for someone special, please contact me.
